Career Pathways Spring Institute 2011
On April 2012, the Employment and Training Administration released Training and Employment Notice (TEN) 36-11. The TEN describes the Joint Letter on Career Pathways from DOL, Education's Office on Vocational and Adult Education and Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Family. The letter reflect the commitment of the Federal agencies to identify and promote areas of collaboration that support the successful expansion of career pathways systems.
Minnesota's FastTRAC (Training, Resources,and Credentialing)Career Pathways initiative seeks to make Minnesota's workforce more competitive, highly skilled, and aligned with industry needs. We are excited to feature Minnesota as our State Subject Matter Expert of the Week! This 15 minute video provides an overview of the initiative.
The Career Pathways Training and Support Center is facilitated by Kratos Learning, on behalf of the US Department of Education's Office of Vocational and Adult Education. The site provides career pathways information to practitioners and focuses on instructional and program design, in addition to providing policy papers and a community of practice.
The Promise of Career Pathways Systems Change and Inititatives, commissioned by ETA and released in April 2012, provides an overview of career pathways, the six key elements framework and examples of state and local workforce investment systems that are centrally involved in the development of career pathways.
