Toxic Stress in Low-Income Families: Understanding Long-Term Effects Date: Wednesday, May 21 2014 Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm EST To register for this free webcast, paste the address below into your browser: This webcast will: • Describe the different types of stress children experience, including toxic stress; • Educate family strengthening providers and other stakeholders on how exposure to toxic stress can create life-long physical and mental challenges; • Document how those changes affect adults' abilities to be self-sufficient, parent effectively, be good spouses and contribute to their communities; and • Highlight innovative approaches human service providers are using to preventing toxic stress among children and/or ameliorate those effects among adults.
