The Policy to Performance Toolkit is Now Available!

The Policy to Performance: Transitioning Adults to Opportunity project has released the Policy to Performance Toolkit, a new federally funded resource from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education, designed to provide state adult education stakeholders with guidance and high quality resources and tools for developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and practices that support comprehensive and coordinated systems for ABE transition services for low-skilled adults.

The Policy to Performance Toolkit offers:

?        A description of the models used in the Policy to Performance initiative to create a transition system for adult learners;

?        Processes for analyzing current practices and identifying policies;

?        Steps for developing, implementing, and evaluating policies;

?        Planning documents, checklists, and other downloadable tools to use in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies; and

?        Implementation examples from the project's partner states.

The Policy to Performance Toolkit is a free, high quality resource based on the processes and findings from the Policy to Performance project. Policy to Performance partnered with eight states to develop and implement policy and practices that advance adult learners through the education continuum of postsecondary education, training, and employment. The processes and findings from the project states provide lessons and examples that are useful to all states developing a state adult education transition system.
